Another day of video editing

Posted: September 7, 2007 in Church, Happenings

Ahh…nothing like turning 30 minutes of raw video footage into a 5 minute video.  Lots of stuff hits the cutting room floor.

The more we strive to excel in our video production process, the more we become aware of previously overlooked details:  lighting issues, background ambience, wardrobe issues, consistency from scene to scene.  Makes you almost long for the days when we were noobs and didn’t know any better.

Almost.

As with everything we do, if the videos don’t look or sound good, they aren’t effective – or worse, they are even distracting.

This week should be good though.  Multiple camera angles, good soundtrack, hi-def camcorder, talented actors…

We’ve come a long way from the days of Kyle playing “Tor, the Asian Caveman.”  Okay, that actually was pretty funny back in the day…
