A big thank you to all you guys in the band who helped make the Sunday morning “re-launch” of Crosspoint happen.  I wanted to share with you part of an e-mail I got yesterday:

Just wanted to tell you that yall had it going on this morning.  Everybody on stage was on fire and it showed…Just tell everyone in the band they did great and everyone was working together to make a very “joyful noise.”

(“yall” – remember, we are in North Alabama !  Woohoo!)

Though what we do as a band is not about us – it’s always about God, it’s also always encouraging to know that what we do impacts people.  Far from being big-headed about this, I’m amazed that in spite of the stress of pulling it all together on a Sunday morning, that we still know when to focus and quit thinking about ourselves and the notes and the lyrics and the technology running everything and simply worship and lead others in worship.  I absolutely believe people can spot a fake – and if we’re not genuine in our worship, people will see that.  And what I saw from you guys Sunday was genuine and inspiring.
