The inevitable waiting…

Posted: February 9, 2007 in Uncategorized

My new desktop computer is still in production hell, apparently.  Normally, things I’ve ordered from Dell get shipped out pretty quick (like the laptop I’m using now and Stacey’s Axim).  But not this time.  So I wait.  And wait.  Ane wait.

I hate waiting.

  1. Arlene says:

I am the most NON patient person IN THE WORLD!!! I’m sorry you’re having to wait 😦 I thought my wait was long when I was waiting for my Dell laptop…nothing compared to my month without lap top when my mother board died! I hope your computer comes very very soon!!

  2. THE J-Mo says:

Waiting on an order you really want sucks. You’ll have to post pics when you finally receive it.

  3. Woohoo! It’s finally shipped! However, I know that that it’s really just been a problem with my impatience than with Dell (my Dell E1505 laptop took the same amount of time from ordering to shipping).

Getting a new desktop can be one of those ‘big’ things like getting a new car. Plus it’s something to feed my inner techno-geek (as if the Playstation 3 and the XBOX360 weren’t enough to do that). So I feel kinda like a kid at Christmas time. Um…again.

Anyway, thanks for the encouragement. I don’t know if that makes me feel better about the waiting or just really pathetic for having zero patience. Heh.

Dang, I hope I never had to have my motherboard replaced in this laptop. I’ve got a two-year warranty on it with ‘on-site’ service, so hopefully I wouldn’t have to wait too long. But hearing about other Dell laptop malfunctions concerns me, because I bought this laptop last April to replace another Dell laptop, which had its LCD screen fry itself just a couple of months after the warranty expired. Now that sucks.
